About the Company: Who is Lime?
Lime is a micro-mobility company that provides electric scooters, bikes, and other eco-friendly transportation options for urban areas. Founded in 2017, Lime aims to reduce traffic congestion and promote sustainable, short-distance travel. The company operates in cities around the world, offering dockless, app-based rentals for users to easily access and ride vehicles for quick, affordable trips. Lime focuses on innovation, safety, and environmental impact as it seeks to transform urban mobility.
Lime’s 2024 fleet consists of a stand-up electric scooter, an electric-assisted bicycle, and a seated electric scooter.
Existing Problem
The current line of Lime scooters requires users to have sufficient balance and mobility, which limits access for individuals who are elderly, disabled, or have mobility impairments. As a result, these scooters fail to accommodate a broader range of users, including those who may also benefit from and wish to use alternative, sustainable transportation options.

Concept Development
I drew design inspiration from existing EV products, reimagining them through the lens of Lime’s brand identity. My goal was to retain the core proportions of compact cars while eliminating extraneous elements.

100% Hand Operated
The Lime Rover shares the same intuitive controls as other Lime scooters, providing a consistent user experience across all Lime products. Fully hand-operated, the steering wheel integrates both the paddle accelerator and the traditional brake lever, with both controls positioned on the wheel instead of handlebars.
This design ensures a seamless transition between Lime devices, allowing users to easily switch from one product to another without learning a new control interface. Additionally, the absence of foot pedals makes the Lime Rover accessible to individuals with disabilities or those who may not be familiar with traditional vehicle operation, offering an inclusive transportation option.
The Ideal Transportation Solution for Major Events
Lime Rovers can be transported in fleets to be specifically used as private-transport at large events/festivals/concerts. Users whom require transportation aid to and from the parking lot to the event center can safely take the Lime rovers for a competitive price compared to traditional bike taxis.
Scalability: Event organizers can scale up or down the number of rovers available based on demand, providing a flexible and efficient transportation solution without needing to invest in a large fleet of traditional vehicles
